We wanted to share an important community resource from the Austin Police Department (APD).
APD has District Representatives who serve different areas throughout Austin. Officer Shawn Rougeou and Officer Miguel Almeida serve much of South Austin and frequently work together to support our local communities.
As always, if you have an emergency or are witnessing a crime in progress, please call 911. For non-emergency concerns involving potential illegal activity or other issues in our community, you may also contact our APD District Representatives directly and report it to 311. Please keep in mind that they may be assisting with other calls or community needs and may not always be immediately available.

When You May Want to Contact a District Representative
Our District Representatives can be a helpful resource for a variety of community concerns, including:
- Homelessness-related concerns - Illegally parked vehicles, including vehicles blocking sidewalks and left tires along the curb - Abandoned vehicles - Broken-down vehicles and/or on jacks - Illegally parked trailers - Mini bikes, motorcycles, dirt bikes, or similar vehicles being operated on trails, sidewalks, common areas, or streets - Graffiti - Abandoned or vacant residences - Code enforcement concerns - Illegal dumping - Other crime-prevention and community-safety concerns For parking, code enforcement, or other issues, the appropriate agency or department may vary depending on the situation. The APD District Representatives can help point you in the right direction when appropriate. You can also report it and call 311 to talk to someone directly.
We want all Parkside homeowners to know what resources are available when they need assistance so they can enjoy their community.
